Service and mission opportunities at our church are a powerful way to live out our faith and make a tangible difference in the world around us. Engaging in these ministries allows us to put our love for God and others into action, serving those in need and sharing the hope of Christ. Whether through local outreach projects, global missions, or ongoing support of community initiatives, our church provides a variety of avenues to get involved. These opportunities not only allow us to meet the practical needs of others but also help us grow spiritually as we step out of our comfort zones and witness the impact of God’s love in action. By participating in service and mission work, you can experience the joy of giving, develop a heart for service, and deepen your relationship with God as you become His hands and feet in the world.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace
We are building more beds! Come and help sand, hammer, brand, and construct beds for local children who unfortunately don’t have a bed of their own. We have a fun day planned in our Church parking lot helping our community. If building isn’t your thing, you can shop for twin bed-in-a-bag, or just come by and mingle with your church family.

Habitat’s Apostles Build
Help build a house!
* No experience is necessary, but all volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
* Habitat will provide all tools and required safety equipment. Volunteers will need to bring their own lunch, refillable water bottle and we suggest your own work gloves

Backpack Ministry
Provides food during the school year to children in need, ensuring they have meals over the weekends.
Benevolence
Partners with Roanoke’s Central Intake to assist with emergency needs, such as utility bills, rent, and food for those facing a crisis.
Kids Soar
Throughout the year, we send groups to help with meals and volunteering at Kids Soar, supporting children in their education and growth.
Appalachian Service Project (ASP)
Each summer, we raise funds and send a team to Appalachia to make homes warmer, safer, and drier for families, transforming lives through service.
Renovation Alliance
Our teams help build ramps and make other necessary modifications to homes, ensuring accessibility and safety.
BOOST
Stocks two local high schools with essential items for their guidance departments to assist students in need.
Feeding Southwest Virginia
Monthly volunteer teams assist at Roanoke’s food bank, packing and organizing food to support the community.
Apostles Build
Every other year, we join with other local churches to build a house for Habitat for Humanity, providing a family with a safe and affordable home.
Service Day
On the last Sunday of July, our congregation goes into the community to serve, completing projects for schools and local organizations.
Adult Fall Mission Trip
Each fall, we send a team to the Carolina Rebuilding Ministry, where volunteers help make homes stronger, safer, and healthier for low-income homeowners in northeastern North Carolina.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace
In the fall, we host a bunk bed-building event for children in our community, ensuring that “no kid sleeps on the floor in our town
Rise Against Hunger
Every fall, we gather to pack 10,000 meals, joining the global movement to end hunger by empowering communities and responding to crises.
